Top review. Very funny show! At first I did not expect much of this show, but it surprised me. Paul Lacono is funny and believable as RJ Berger. Amber Lancaster is very beautiful and sweet, even though she plays a 16 year old while she is 30 Looks young enough though!
But the person who steals the show is Jareb Dauplaise as sidekick Miles Jenner! This guy is hilarious and has a very nice energy on screen. It makes me wanna watch more of his work! I've seen about 8 episodes and it's still funny. I surely hope they will keep up this level of entertainment.
I'm very curious where the storyline will take us. Sure, it will probably not win an Emmy, but it's more then worth watching the adventures of this nerd. The only shame is that all the curse words are bleeped out. That's a bit childish, but maybe that's because I'm European and they can swear on TV here.
Go and watch this, it will make you laugh or you will enjoy every second Amber Lancaster is on the screen. Details Edit. Release date June 6, United States. United States. Official site. In the season finale, Lily is not shown until the last minute of the episode. She walks into the Mr. Pinkerton rally, up to Berger, and tells him that she is pregnant with his child.

In season two RJ decides to focus on Jenny he ask her on a date and she says yes on the date RJ finds out that is her first real date after the date RJ and Jenny kiss then begin dating the next time we see them they are going to a school lock in which they plan to have sex at but Miles hands out some biscotti which he does not know is drug laced Jenny eats some and takes of her panties in order to show RJ her beautiful and hot vagina since she dreams about having sexual intercourse with RJ and wants to feel his big penis inside her vagina, thus losing her virginity, but RJ notices she is not in her right state of mind and trys to hold her off.

In season 2, as a result of his parent's divorce, RJ's grades start slipping. He seeks out a tutor and ends up getting a beautiful girl named Amy, who happens to be a couple of years older than him. She is pretty, smart, and down to earth. She ends up helping RJ out with his struggling with his parent's divorce, and his many endevours to get them back together. They soon start dating after he takes her to a weezer concert, and he believes that she is "the one". He does so at his birthday bash, and ends up having sex with Amy that night.
Berger's love interest, Jenny Swanson had just turned 29 at the start of the show. What makes this even stranger is that the rest of the cast was or just had turned David Katzenberg has made quite a name for himself in Hollywood by producing the IT films, but, before all the fame, he had directed a short film titled The Tale of RJ, about a well-endowed nerd and his attempts to survive high school while having awkward sexual encounters.
MTV executive took interest in the project and ordered a script for a television series to be produced. The name of the title was changed to The Hard Times of RJ Berger and the characters in the short film were fleshed out to possibly make a multi-season high school adventure. Few movies or TV series are filmed in the location they are supposed to be located in. Unless it is a show about Hollywood that is filmed in a Hollywood studio. So when fans are watching their favorite show that is set in New York City, it is probably filmed in Chicago.
Apparently, the creators wanted to trade cold, frigid winters for the sunny palm trees of California. Usually when it comes to initials for names, it can be easily understood what exactly they stand for.
Other times, it is a bit more complicated. As for R. Berger, his mom might have revealed his real name in the season 1 episode "Nerds Gone Wild".
Viewers can hear her whispering underneath her breath "I love my Richie-poo" revealing that his real name is Richard, as for what the J stands for is still a mystery that will probably forever be unsolved. This is one of the sad things about canceled shows, so many questions, so few answers.
The show's creators, David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame Smith were both credited as executive producers in the show's credits.
