Comment by if you're going to spend the time to level mining, it REALLY helps if you have an epic mount for when you hit If you dont, despite the nerf of spawns around the portal, the rest of the spawns on that map are pretty close.
You could trip in hellfire peninsula and find fel iron, just get gatherer and fly in spirals around the map. Both sides spawn nodes on top of and below the cliffs. Comment by While I was in Hellfire Peninsula, I used this path to farm fel iron and it worked great for me: First, start at the bottom of the Peninsula, near Honor Hold.
Then head southwest over the felboar and underground worm basin until you get to the ravager base before Terokkar. Next, head east along the edge of the Peninsula until you reach the Expedition Armory, where there is usually at least one.
Head northeast. You can also go to Zangrarmarsh, Shadowmoon Valley or Netherstorm and find some Fel Iron Ore but you will find mostly other things there which are also valuable.

Comment by Thottbot Just submitted a screeny of all the spawns i found in HFP i think there is about 60 on there i leveled mining from in just a few hours going round the outside of the map and came across a few while riding about hope this is helpful. I used to simply circle the portal there grabbing as many as 30 to 40 nodes. Now the best path to go, which usually gets me around ores an hour is take your flying mount from the Hellfire Citadel Up that path in the middle where all the mobs are, once u reach the end of the path fly towards Zethgor , then once you fly to zethgor fly to the 3 raveger places on the western side of the peninsula.
Then from the last ravager place, the one leading to Zangrmarsh fly back to Hellfire Citadel, This loop takes around mins with Reg flying mount , probably mins with Epic. Hope this helps u guys.

Comment by Thottbot You need to mine Fel Iron. Your JC needs to be to prospect. It's VERY abundant there and it's incredibly fast. Basically all I do is I ride the entire edge of Zangarmarsh, all the way around, with my mount.
Just stay close to the walls, and check every cave. One trip around takes about 20 minutes average with epic ground mount. Good luck! Comment by simon can u mine this at ? The only good thing about this farming route is that it's pretty easy to follow the route.
You can watch Netflix or twitch while farming here. You don't really have to pay that much attention to where you go.
